Re: Feel free to invite friends
Sun, December 23, 2007 - 10:08 AMYou may be a hippie, but it's hard to tell. You work too fucking hard and you're very generous. You rely on the help of others to get things done, but to get things like the Booby Bar done. And then you turn around and give away booze. Plus, you allow those others to volenteer instead of drafting them. So you are an exemplary hippie, not a typical one.
But I'm happy to make fun of you anyway? ;>) -

Re: Feel free to invite friends
Mon, December 24, 2007 - 6:35 AMyes, this being said....Im not a "trippy drippy hippy" as my oldest daughter likes to call the Hippy's that live near her place in pacifica on down to Santa Cruiz, the ones who dont bathe, beg for money and stayed so stoned they've forgotten their mothers name.
Im more the "get 'r 'done hippy"! hahahaa, ya...your right thats a oxymoron aint it!?!

Re: Feel free to invite friends
Mon, December 24, 2007 - 1:14 PM!hippies! and speaking of friends...
my rommates had a party at my house without asking me, and my drug free house was full of acrid pot smoke when i got off work! and loud, loud electronic music, which they refused to turn off until i pulled the plug at three in the morning.
damn. call yourself hippy if you like, as long as you are the git 'r' done kind, but please...
two of them have so far sent me friend invitations on here... so... what is the appropriate response? you janked my living room, fuck off? r um, yeah, cool... i like tribe friends... -
-
Re: Feel free to invite friends
Mon, December 24, 2007 - 2:53 PMAppropriate responce? I'm totally wondering that myself. I get these friend invites from people i don't really know, but have a vague a feeling that they've annoyed me in the past, what the fuck do I do?
Well, I tend to just let them sit in my inbox indefinately, know that they can read "friends only" blog posts, so I can't even talk about my ambivalence for feer of letting them see. ARg... -

Mon, December 24, 2007 - 3:05 PMa vague a feeling that they've annoyed me in the past
hilarious - have you met the Duck Guild vs. Jesus tribe? They are people unified by an undefined special understanding of the movie, The Lakehouse (yes, that one.)
That and the Horny Nihilists are the only tribes I invite people to, and only when i think they have the ability to appreciate the subtle humor I myself get there.
But then, I'm eaily amused. As well as self-amusing.

Re: Feel free to invite friends
Mon, December 24, 2007 - 10:54 PMUm, if you don't RESPOND to a friend invite, they shouldn't be able to see your locked posts.
(I have to say that this is one of the reasons I prefer LJ's interface for blogging; someone can add you to their reading list, but unless and until you add them back, they can't see your locked posts.)
