I have a red strand of EL wire that i'm having problems with.
I've soldered it, and when i turn on the inverter, the inner wire glows, but it stops right as it reaches the red casing and the rest of the strand does not glow. Did i solder it incorrectly, or could there be something wrong with the rest of the strand?
please help. Thanks!

Re: EL wire soldering problem
Sun, August 2, 2009 - 12:40 PMIt sounds like the "angel hair" wires that surround the inner core are broken at the casing (where it stops glowing). They break easily. Cut it off (just after the start of the red casing) and try again. Consider using a magnifying glass when soldering to get a better view of the process. -
