Saw some info in other posts but figured it was worthy of its own.
Its my first time at burning man and I'm looking for a way to light up our camp (tent and shade structure).
I have my doubts about the solar powered lights and was considering a battery system. Nothing too fancy, a couple strings of X-mas lights at least. It would be even better if they turned on automatically at night. I've gleamed that I'll need a battery, inverter, switch (to turn on at night), and lights.
I already have this inverter: www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp
that I picked up for a road trip awhile back. Would I be able to use that as my inverter?
Any ideas, experiences, links, etc are greatly appreciated!

12V LED lights take much less energy than 110VAC lights going through and inverter but there are less choices available.
