I downloaded Google Sketchup the other day and it is pretty cool.

Using copy to create duplicate pieces works really well.

It is only about 32Kb and it is free.

In about three hours I have a damn good start on a 3-D rendering of Destructive Behavior.

Burning Stuff @ Decom

I am pushing hard to try to hold this years So-Cal Decom somewhere where we can build a "big wooden thing" and burn it down.

We will have about five weeks or so to get something together after we get back from the burn.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up now, so we could all start thinking about what we want to do.

Green Energy Project Heading to the Man, Needs Help with Batteries.

I am working for a green energy company that is taking a project out to be a part of the base of the man this year.

We are bringing out a couple of the wind generators that we are making.

They are designed for home use, but not for in-the-middle-of-the-desert-powering-the-man use.

So we are having to get creative on a couple of the detail points.
One being building a bank of batteries that can be used to store the power until it is used.

Would anyone be interested in helping work on this project to add juice to the man at this years burn?

So, if you haven't noticed, the Port Authority has been funding temporary art pads all along the harbor front of down town for at least a couple of years now.

They have rotated the sculptures out at least three times so far.

They will probably be looking for a new set of sculptures soon.

The last time they changed them out, one of the artist put their sculpture up on Craigslist for free if you came to pick it up.

It would be cool to work with the Port Authority and different neighborhood planning commissions to get those sculptures brought further inland where more people could appreciate them, and they could continue to be public art.

Just thinking out loud.

Come and make a Burn Barrel!! I have a limited nuumber (12) tanks that are waiting to be reborn into your custom burn barrels!!!
So I will be limiting the number of New Burn Barrel Owners to 12. Because of the number of tanks and I dont think we could make more than 12 in one evening. I have 9 slots left!!! Please Email or Call me to secure your spot!!!
Others are welcome to help, design, hang out, burn stuff, eat, and bring food!!

I will also need $10 to cover supplies (NEW B.B. OWNERS ONLY!!)

Shop Cleanup!!! And BBQ at Magnus'!!! May 27th!!!

Lets clean this place up so we can have some workshops. Lets eat some bbq and listen to some music!! Please carpool as much as possible as parking is limited!! We can start at 8 am and go till 7pm. Bring clothes that can get dirty and good protective shoes. NO SANDALS PLEASE!! There are a bunch of metal bits that would suck to step on.

BRING:
water or your fav hydrating liquid
whatever else you like to drink
side dishes
your fav meat
I will get a bunch and have the BBQ up and running!!!

Hope to see you there!!
I will be giving away material and stuff like that so i may have the supplies you need for your next art project!!!
