Hi all
I just found these excellent knot instructions online for the two main knots we used in putting up the parachute tents...
For the Trucker's Hitch (used for tightening down the pole and parachute)
www.animatedknots.com/trucker...ndex.php
For the double fisherman's knot (used for fixing two ropes or cords to each other)
www.animatedknots.com/doublef...ndex.php
next year's set up crew should all agree on one way of doing these knots and stick to it. these seem like good ones.
Also, in case i am not there next year, Contact Camp should invest in a big spool of poly rope, which is more durable and has less stretch than the parachute cord.
regards
