Hello Forest Family & Friends~
For those of you that do not know, The Austin Enchanted Forest needs your help after being denied their Temporary Use Permit by the city of Austin.
This permit has allowed The Forest to provide an alternative outdoor venue for supporting local and national musicians, artists, performers, freaks, and Austinites for the last 5 years.
But alas one of Austin's best kept secrets and underground icons is in serious jeopardy of closing and we need your help!
Can you raise money for the numerous and costly hoops The Forest is going to have to jump through?
As in most cases little can be accomplished without it and if we can't host events to raise the funds, we need you to canvass on The Forest's behalf!
Be nice! It's easy to piss people off and we all know the catching flies with honey bit... If you have top bite your tongue.
Do it! Even if it bleeds!
Save the barking and attacks for the appropriate time and place! Please...
Email or Call the following people and organizations asking for their support and help.

Re: Help Save Enchanted Forest
Fri, July 18, 2008 - 11:00 PMSent in my letter :)
Highlight
"I just read in the Weekly that the Austin music capital is in serious danger of losing that title. The article asked what can be done. While I don’t have a one answer solves it all kind of thing I must ask a question. Does this only include bars and clubs where the music is at best – decent. Does it only include venues that sell alcohol? Does Austin want that title but only if it can keep it based on bars? I hope not.
Enchanted Forest offers a very unique form of entertainment. If Austin wants to retain their title as music capital of the world or even the nation Austin will have to keep the unique, the different, the crowd pleasers, the weird alongside the standard bars and concerts. If you cannot claim such a title without embracing all forms of musical art and entertainment. " -
