After living in Seattle and sharing in the Portland community I am missing the unity and flow. Even thought I was born and raised in Texas it still seems to lack the essence of what burning man is. I'm hoping to connect to a free radical, leave no trace community and if fellow pyros (staff, poi, tether ball) are involved all the better. I can not make it back to BM this year but I am hoping to connect to an after burn and am willing to help. How active is the Texas BM community ready to be??? As a native I subscribe to "Go big or go Home" what do you say??

Re: Seattlite looking to connect
Mon, August 24, 2009 - 6:10 AMYou know that the Temple at Burning Man this year is being built by an Austin crew? That Burning Flipside is the oldest and biggest regional burn?

Mon, August 24, 2009 - 12:23 PMCarla, if you live in Austin, you've got the biggest Burn Community outside of Cali all around you. If you live in Dallas, consider me your friendly neighborhood local Regional Contact (not officially, but I aim to please!) In either case, please indicate where you're at and I'll put you in touch with some awesome people!
Flipside is the largest BM Regional, and not to be missed- I've been the last 7 years and it just keeps getting better, which is saying something since my first event was life-altering. If you're not feeling the Burner love in Texas, you haven't looked hard enough! Hit me up here or via PM and I'll be happy to help you find your YAY!!
Texas-Burners-Ruleingly,
Major Tom
