JMF is a out of shape too :-0

Here is what I'm doing to resolve it..

Due to an accident that broke both my feet and screwed up my ACL's I am out of shape. I want to be back in shape for Burningman this year.
Here are the things that I'm working on

The we just changed to daylight saving time and the days are longer.

I am walking my dog by the river everyday. increasing the time by five min each day.
I have only been eating lean cusine meals for two meals a day, and a mixed up salad for dinner/ local dressing.

Drink more water. More water/ drink less quality beverages :-)

    Are you able to do cardio to get your heart rate up to your optimal fat burning heart rate (whatever that is), maybe yoga to help with increased flexibility?
    • My flexibility is great. I was a gymnast in high school and I have been a climber most of my life. It's just too much weight on my body. I'm hoping as I walk longer distances, I can move up to a jogging again. Just my poor knees can't handle the bouncing.

      I also have been swimming at the gym. Not so much impact on my knees. For some strange reason. I'm a pretty hyper person, I get really bored during yoga classes.

        What sort of distance are you doing when you swim?
        • Mostly laps again until I get bored.

          I'm going to walk to work today instead of drive. This way I am forced to walk home too. Just trying to mix stuff up to get my self motivated.
          • Ok so I purchased my self a log. I am placing everything I eat in in i Also, how much I excirsize in it. I know that I will not have to do this for ever.

            ButI need to look at what is defining me and hindering me.

            My log looks like this.
            What I eat- how many calerories
            exiercise - how much how long
            Water in take

            I know the basis for any good weight lose program in 3 smaller meals with snacks in between.
            I know the sooner the you start moving the sooner you metabolic rate will go up
            I know that if you eat late and go to bed your body isn't as efficiant in burning the callories.

            Today I'm going to go for a long walk in the foot hills with a friend - exerise doesn't have to always be by your self.
