Haven't a clue what you might be talking about... I can't even think of any fake ads on BMIR, at least nothing that runs regularly. Anyone else know something I don't?

Ashram Galactica is a fake ad that I've heard a few times. And the blurb for the Onion was very low key, it just surprised me... but now I guess it was just a fan throwing it in, I'm sure no money was involved. I was just surprised to hear an "ad" for something that actually exists out in the rest of the world.

I'm not bitchin', I LOVE yr programming. Have been listening to the stream since it went up. Thanks for all your wonderfulness!!

Bobzilla loaded all the PSA's I pulled from submissions, and I did not have any Onion ads on the list... unless it was somehow a part of a PSA, but I listened to them all after downloading to the cd and nothing there.

perhaps it was a bleed over from another station? hmmmm,,,

yep, it pretty much is not us to do any ads for anything but theme camps, events and the ever ever always needed porta potties....

Well, the "ad" was a spoof news report about "hot girls are waiting for you" and went one for a little bit about the hot girls waiting, not sure of their location, but they say not to keep them waiting, etc etc. At the very end it said something like "Find more news on The Onion."

Anyway, I'm not upset or trying to poke around and find a misdeed... just curious. Perhaps I heard he whole thing wrong? Whatever, I'm not traumatized by it. :)

I LOVE Y'ALL...... please hijack some major airwaves soon.

Hmmmm, I've never heard any ads either. Was it during someones show? If so they may have played it. I know it wasn't in the psa rotation.

I would deduce that either :

A: A dj played it on purpose

            or

B: It found it's way into our music rotation. At night when there is no live DJ we go on automation. The computer plays 4 music cuts, a pasa, a playa tip, 4 music cuts, a psa, a station ID, etc. etc. The music cuts are loaded into the database. Only a few people have had access to the database or even know how to load a cut into it. The handful of people that know how to load a cut are decidely twisted (and I mean that in the nicest way, myself included). It may have been loaded in on purpose. I'm constantly amazed at what that computer spits out. One minute you hear a Bulgarian Folk song, then some punk band, then train sounds.
