Shouting Fire has ingnited. ShoutingFire is an online radio station that will bring a mix of alternative art, culture, and thought to the internet airwaves. Spawned by the hard-working radio staff of Burning Man's BMIR 94.5 FM, Shouting Fire aims to bring the energy and ethos of Black Rock City out of the desert and into the world at large.

Listen at http://www.shoutingfire.com

Never been to Burning Man? Looking for more than just Black Rock City noise? Not a problem. Although the station will have its share of content relating to Burning Man, the programming will not be "playa-centric." Because Shouting Fire is not just for "burners"; it's for everyone with an open mind and open ears. Interviews, news, and audio art. Performance, politics, and perspective. And, of course, lots of eclectic music from DJ's who don't just play music--but who have a passion for explaining, exploring, and celebrating it.

Our launch features a fresh block of programming each day, with each block debuting at 10am PST/1PM EST. During our launch period, we'll be repeating each day's shows starting at 2:30pm and 6:30pm PST. (You can always tune in around the clock, of course, for a mix of music, news bites, and event announcements.)

New shows will be added to the lineup as it evolves--and as our extended community (AKA YOU!!!) comes forward with the content. So be sure to contact us at shoutingfire@shoutingfire.com if you''ve got a programming idea or a show you're already producing. Because while we might be building the platform, we're all building the content.

FRIDAY 2/29 Shouting Fire live launch, beginning at 5:00PM PST

SATURDAY 3/1 Shouting Fire Sampler, featuring a five hour block of our preview programming, starting at 10am PST and 6pm PST.

SUNDAY 3/2 Your Morning Bobzilla (1 hr.)
Sunday Services with Reverend Billy (1 hr. 45 min.)

MONDAY 3/3 Wheelie Houdini is also Patti Schmidt (90 min.)
Crickets with Douglas Wolk (1 hr.) We give you more of what you deserve than you deserve.

TUESDAY 3/4 Megacosmic Transmissions with J. Kanizzle (2 hrs.)

WEDNESDAY 3/5 Funky Stuff with Doctor Booty (90 min.)
The Viking Youth Power Hour (45 min.) Out of Chicago and into your brain, the Vikings converse about consciousness, politics, art, and alternative culture. This edition features Erik Davis, author of Techgnosis, Visionary State: A Journey Through California's Spiritual Landscape, and the 33 1/3 volume on Led Zeppelin's Led Zeppelin IV.

THURSDAY 3/6 The Sound of Plaid with TradeMark Gunderson (2 hrs.)
Let's see just how "free" free-form can get...
Some Assembly Required (1 hr.) Tape manipulations, digital deconstructions, and turntable creations by artists who
appropriate sounds from the media environment.

FRIDAY 3/7 The Show That Has No Name (90 min.)
Music and conversation with Eric Myers and guests from across the spectrum of aesthetics and activism. Up this week is Carmen Mauk, just back from the Burners without Borders relief effort in Peru.

Coming Soon Moldover Live, Notes from the Long Now, Writers With Drinks, environmental solutions and innovative social strategies from Bioneers, webcast premieres of archival interviews with the likes of Andy Warhol, Tom Wolfe, and Douglas Adams --and whatever sonic scintillation YOU'RE scheming up....

We had fantastic cocktail parties, a web stream that entertained listeners all over the world, a roster of top notch DJ's , great interview shows, a Kidsville takeover, our own camp and deck, a kick ass staff and an incredible amount of love from the BRC community. This tribe is a place you our listeners can connect with the BMIR staff. We want to hear what you have to say. What did you like? What do you want to hear more of? How can we improve? Have any program ideas?

BMIR exist to inform and entertain you. But is also *your* radio station, it's your access to the airwaves that you are denied in the default world. Enjoy. We love you!
