For anyone not on it, I am cross posting this from the PEX tribe
We're Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our first two movie nights went so well, we're doing it again on Sun. April 26, 2009!!!
Not only were the last films excellent, but the food everyone brought & shared was even better. Beyond that, the yard & garden is just starting to bloom. Henceforth (and assuming the weather is nice) this event is officially re-named “Burner Movie, Gourmet & Garden Party Night”
For our third Event, we are featuring two films dealing with entirely different subjects. (We want to follow up the documentary with something lighter & funny)
(For information about our previous “Burner Movie Night #1” please go to the following link or look below for the thread in the PEX Tribe.)

MOVIE #1 “The Planet”
The first film, a documentary called “The Planet” (not the series) is an amazing look at our planet and many of the humanity educed environmental stresses it is experiencing. It was filmed in 25 different countries, is visually stunning, took two years to produce, has an excellent sound track and was worth the wait.
It is a large overview of the condition of OL Mother earth. (She's sick & could really use our help.) If you want to understand the social forces, as well as the environmental ones, effecting our planet, this film should not be missed.”
Quote "A real must see. This documentary lays down facts, figures, and themes regarding the state of the planet in a very accessible way. As a previous reviewer said, it is more "intense" than an Inconvenient Truth, but I hardly think any of the concepts presented are hard to take in - in fact, due to the number of interviews, the film manages to take the viewer through a range of issues regarding the state of the planet, without ever losing focus of its basic message - that we must do something NOW. A well put together soundtrack enhances the narrative. Well worth the watch. But god, we've really stuffed this planet up."

MOVIE #2 French Twist, is the evenings' later attraction.
Rather than just stick with documentaries for Burner Movie Night, I also want to share some more drama/comedy and lighten things up a bit.
The second film, "French Twist." is one of our poly favorites. A bit obscure & perhaps not the best film ever made, it has a bit of relationship educational value, and will definitely have you laughing.
Please note, it is in French with English sub titles.
