Hi Everyone,
Noelle, John P, and I have decided to make our documentation of The Do Lab and Lucent (among others) available to everyone involved in an easy to use site called Blip.tv. howdy ya'll,

good to see all of ya'll in good health and mood.... or at least in good health.... or just see ya'll..... or at least have ya'll read my post :-)

in 2006 i was a virgin on the playa, and my experience is almost impossible to retell... but i did come across one video which for me had really expressed the dynamics of the playa, and the course of events which my (much intoxicated) brain perceived.

BURNING MAN 2007 VIDEO PROJECT

I've been formulating an idea in my mind over the last coupla' months, and I want to put it out there for discussion.

My ideas is a website for Burning Man videos that would incorporate numerous videographers work. Everything would be day and time stamped, i.e.... everything could be retrieved by the period on the timeline that it was shot. The viewer could see several videographers views for the same time period. For example a viewer could watch, say, 4 different views of what several videographers were shooting on Thursday night at 9 PM. And if possible, be able to view these screens simultainously. Just imagine being able to watch the Burn from a dozen different angles.
I think to do this, I would have to have a commitment of up to 20-30 videographers that would be willing to provide anywhere from 10-12 3-5 minute clips from various periods during Burning Man. The viewer could view all of one videographers work, or watch everything taken on Tuesday, etc... The layout and design of the site would be very important to its success. It would have to have a very elaborate search engine I would think.
To do this, I foresee numerous problems to overcome, but I would be interested in the views and comments you folks have? Would anyone be interested in participating in such a project?

Ode To Orion

It comes with a sad heart that I put this message out there....
But a great friend and Burner found he could go no further.
Our good friend Orion has left us.
As you can imagine Noelle and I are still trying to come to terms with the loss of Orion. We loved and cared for him a great deal.
He was the most "original" human I've met. Very self-aware and motivated, would help at a drop of a hat....
He was instrumental in helping me make "The Warning".
He and my wife were the only reasons "The Warning" made it to the Playa!
We loved him so much....
Today I spent a great deal of time going through video footage and stills of Oie trying to remember those "moments". There were alot of them, many of them shared experiences with many of you....
We hope this video explains some of our love for him!
