So I just met Shooter in person a couple of hours ago. He's not military, per se, but as an embedded journalist has already seen more combat than I am likely to see in my lifetime. He said he wasn't a member of this tribe because he's not military, but I was thinking he should get an invite anyway. All in favor, say "aye." Opposed?
Cheers,

Re: Shooter.
Wed, February 7, 2007 - 12:22 PMI have not cared for the content of many of shooter's posts, and he's deleted a few of my replies in his threads if he doesn't like them. So I vote nay. We can interact elsewhere, please.

Re: Shooter.
Sun, April 6, 2008 - 3:12 PMOkay, I guess I need to ask about this as well, as the closest I ever got to active duty was a year of NROTC in college (dropped it as I found out that, due to my eyesight pre-LASIK, there was no way I'd ever be a line officer).
I'm currently a contractor working in Mannheim, Germany, and will likely be here for the next couple of years. While I don't have any pretensions about being in the service, the fact is that I'm in theatre, and also a stone's throw away from Landstuhl, where one of us (burners, that is) could wind up under good or not-so-good circumstances. So I'm a resource.
Normally, I tend to shut up and watch for a while before saying anything (if I say anything at all), but the last thing I want to do is go where I'm explicitly (or, in this case, implicitly) not wanted.
Cheers all

Re: Shooter.
Sun, April 6, 2008 - 4:28 PMI think the part about Shooter being an Ass is even more crucial than his service record.
He has a propensity for causing trouble (even among us rabble rouser's)
