I just joined this tribe and am also pretty new to business ownership as well. In June I left my job of almost 10 years as a Social Worker to start my own internet based company. I make personalized jewelry and work with schools and other non-profit organizations donating $5 of the sale of each bracelet to the organization. They don't have to take orders, money, or deliver products. It is all done on line.
Right now I'm marketing to as many schools as I can a week. I have a couple of people who are marketing for me, but they really aren't following through on what they commited to. So, I'm doing pretty much all of it myself.
