Hello

Buying land is my dream. I would like to take part in this. I am also interested in sustainable development, organic gardening, and am studying a combination of health sciences, W-EMT skills, and going for a masters in Chinese Medicine so that I can be a healer for my community.

Im also a bit of a radical politically, and support collectively owned and run projects. I support the structure used by the IWW, and consider myself a "Libertarian Socialist" (Anarchist?), but I support organization and structure by councils of peers through democratic and egalitarian means.

If I owned a share in some land, I would like to contribute to the land by propagating medicinal plants (legal ones), and providing first aid and health care to the community.

I am also enthusiastic about the idea of throwing parties and festivals with live music on the land.

I dont know much about the rest of you, but thats where Im coming from.

You would be great to have on this project, a true healer,Here in British columbia Canada we have amazing spiritual retreats, workshops woofing, continuing festivals of dance culture unity & wisdom, very concious & free. I would love see this simple system to start this work
a land time share but with no expensive added fee's that you would have to pay for like mantenience-up keep ect. if any thing its would produce income with outside rentals ,bookings, camping ect then use it to invest in tools & supplys , some like the idea of comunal land ,
if this is what they are willing to commit, sure why not we need some people to hold the fort & run the grounds help in managment and make this grow.I beleive that this will work well in British Columbia, then branch out to Cali Oregon & washinton and more.
we could get clones of grape vines in the area and make a vineyard then have our own wine other ideas ect
or make enthogenic brews and healing herbs , here's my website www.dancingowl.com im going to make a site for buy the land soon
but right now tribe will work fine to get interest and find the right people.
    kind regards
    stuart

    Hey Hey...
...Currently im trying to do the same thing...
except the land im looking is a little more expensive...Im searching in the Southern Appalachian mountains somewhere....i want a location with nice long summers.... longer the growing season the better...

....so are there many other intentional communities around nowadays do you know of any current ones in the Koontays Region? they might be a great help in starting off your everything...they will know the land, the region, the season, the local fauna, and most other things... so i hope you find a good close by neighbor ....
....in the place im looking around there is already a huge ecovillage called EarthHaven which i feel will become a huge playing factor in getting my land off the ground, after i get it....Dont forgett to become good friends with local nursuries...

....Studying Permaculture, and Alternative off grid living styles has been all ive studied since i dropped out of college...so i'de love to keep in touch with your Koontays Project, and i hope down the road we can be of some help for each other...we're probably going to run into similar situation when the land buys comes to real....
i wish you all best of luck ....
    Be Excellent...

I dont even know if I should use that word, since to most people it doesnt mean the same thing that it does to me. I believe there is a difference between leaders and rulers. Leaders lead by example and sway people with their wisdom and the power of their words among free peers who have the option to reject them. Rulers rule by force, sometimes against the will of the people. Even in a Republic we elect rulers.

Egalitarian society where councils of local citizens decide things collectively is a requirement for my involvement. I am not going to live under the rule of a benevolent dictator. I want decisions to be made collectively in councils. At least in the community I plan to live on.

...i know what you mean by being afraid of using that word... but well said...

thats why i no longer call myself an anarchist, still subscribe to many of their views, but im out of blacl blocs... and into just loving... hard to go hippy with a red and black flag and a tightly gripped fist.... so now i carry a stick and my loin cloth is red and black..... i realized being a pain the the machines ass is still being in the machine.... thats why im just jumping shit... i saw whos steering ....
...collectively decided councils are the only form of government ive ever seen work.... definitely a demand in my future commune
        ...good points...
        ....be excellent...json

Commune sounds like a colony or something Mennonite or Amish, lol ..the Earth is your home but there are restrictions to what you can do,
As of land what we are going to do create a secret spot ,a peace of paradise for developing culture and transport to another level
And grow as members in the land project, I have plans to build a pyramid in alignment to the North, like at summer hill winery in Bc.
We can have a sound deprivation chamber in the side of the mountain or in the ground, this is just my plans so far , just believe in it and together it will be a reality in no time. With all your intentions
the festival will be born and you will have a home away from home..
the web site is currently in the building stage
