I've had my cat for 5 years now and shes the first cat i've ever come across. Her and her 2 sisters were brought up to our house at 4 weeks of age from their mother. We bottle fed them until they were able to eat on their own.
Up until the age of 1 1/2 she was the biggest lover. She loved everyone and anyone. I don't know what happened but now she hisses at certain ppl and not others. She basically wants them to pet her but when they do pet her for a bit she ends up hissing at them and i dont know why. Can anyone help?

Tue, August 8, 2006 - 10:00 PMI used to have a cat that after anyone petted him for a few minutes.... he would grab them with his feet and teeth... it was a large little and most of them did the same thing as adults.....
he was also a large cat........ 16 pound black cat..... it hurt... but was still kinda funny -

Wed, August 9, 2006 - 5:48 AMWell shes large for a female. Everyone is always calling her fat but really its just her belly that started hanging right after she got fixed. Plus her fur is pretty plush so she looks fatter then what she really is. Right now shes about 12-13 and i want to keep her there.
Yeah she doesnt do that but its almost the same, its just after a few min. of them petting her that she starts to meow and they of course think she wants more as im saying thats not a good meow leave her be but do they listen, no. haha then she ends up hissing at them or hitting them. I laugh because i warned. -

Wed, August 9, 2006 - 7:13 AMSome cats just have firm boundaries and lower tolerance than others. My Cleo was that way. She'd just start to give you a Look, and then you knew (or should have known) to back off. ;) -
