My kids were all rescues from CraigsList. The first two are 7 year old brothers, who were previously declawed in the for-paws by a former owner. And our Queen sufferd a tendonectomy when she was young. When she got to us her claws were so deformed that it took me months of patient work to restore them to functionality. Her thumb claws had grown so long that they had curved back on her and driven themselvs into her flesh. She was in constant pain from her claws, and on top of all that she had a yeast infection. That was no fun, holding her down for an hour each day for a week with a q-tip soaked in plain yogurt inserted into her private area. The yeast infection is gone, her nails are trimmed, the boys are well taken care of, and I have all the kitty love I could ever want.
