I am interested in meeting a group of people who are affiliated with or knowledgeable about ayahuasca ritual. I do not so much enjoy all the hype, stories, and excess money that presently seems to surround the experience and want a simple, clean environment where mental and spiritual experimentation can really take place.

Is there anyone in UK here that has a group of friends, or acquaintances that meet regularly?
Thanks for your advice

From what I have heard from a lady who has been to the retreat the people living at the retreat are good and pure but the ones travelling the world and holding ceremonies in other countries are the ones abusing the people and the plants.
This is their website.
www.sacredperuadventures.com
The retreats are done in Urubamba village. There is a pic of the pretender shaman on the website so please check it out so that you know who he is. I am sick of these men with their big egos and greed for money and sex thinking they can come and mess with peoples lives.
THEY WILL BE TAKEN DOWN!

I agree, it takes years of work on the ego etc before a person is ready to hold such a space or a deep spiritual transformation. You must be in control of your own mind and your intentions must be pure. The spiritual Fathers and Mothers can see this immediately in a person.

this night i offer my prayers and love to Don Solon, who, at the tender age of 86, has fallen and broken his hip and is in serious condition. i know i am not alone in saying that i had the privilege of sitting with this humble and incredible curandero, teacher of our teachers' teachers, in his little room on a noisy iquitos sidestreet, as thrice per week he continued to offer medicine, blessings, and sopladas to the young and eager, while his own health was flagging, but certainly never his spirit.

no jungle maloca. no fancy retreat. just seven of us on a concrete floor, knees scrunched up, mototaxis screaming though the city night, marveling as this man, old as time , nearly blind, and practically unintelligible in speech, led us through a ceremony of pure light, love, and gratitude, with icaros so vibrant that it seemed they could not possibly have issued forth from his ancient lips. he asked for so little, but his blessings meant so much.

thank you, Don Solon, for being there those many, many nights, for opening your door the next morning when we needed more, for the cleansing tap of your shakapa, and the protective smoke of your mapacho. you swept away the cobwebs and chased away the demons. and you left something of yourself with us. thank you for the gifts. thank you for your icaros, especially the one you sang to me and permitted me to share with others. tonight, i wish to return the favour and share it with you. and henceforth whenever i chant it, i will feel your eternal vibration flowing within and through me. i only hope i can carry it with as much grace and dignity as you do.

"El Senor de los Milagros", por favor, cuidele a este hombre, a este curandero tan humilde, que nos ha dado tanto. Bendigale a el como el nos ha bendito a nosotros. Curelo a el, como el nos ha curado a nosotros. Protejalo a el y a su alma inmortal, y dele paz y amor para siempre. Con su Poder Santisimo, comparta con el su candela eternal, para alumbrar el camino hacia el gran Encuentro.

Don Solon, your space was a realm beyond rules, where the freedom to love and and heal opened up to us in all its simplicity and glory. get well soon. i will see you in Amazonia, where, cradled in the embrace of our beloved Mother, her lullabies shall rock us gently to sleep.
Event: This is an experimental workshop in sensual touch and communication for people with entheogenic "liquid minds." We start with inner work, using music, meditation and aromatherapy to open senses and mind. Then we work in dyads, exploring eye contact, intuition, and safe touch. Then, grouped by gender (men, women, & mixed) we will work in groups, exploring touch, fantasy, intimacy, and pleasure. In a safe setting with boundaries carefully maintained, and with the aid of plant medicines and meditation, we will explore a new level of sensual play and intimacy. Arrive liquid and on time. 18+.

This Wednesday I depart for my spirit journey to Peru (Cusco). This trip has manifested from a deep-inner feeling and is truly an invitation into the unknown. One of the intentions I have put out for this trip was to participate in medicine ceremony (Ayahuasca) with one or more shamans down there. Up until a few days ago, I had a sacred shaman scheduled to facilitate ceremony with me. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he had to cancel and I am left shaman-less.

While I am planning on continuing into the mystery open to the possibility of receiving a recommendation when I get there - I wanted to put a call out to your group to see if you can recommend the name of a shaman. I will in Cusco from April 13th through the 20th. I would appreciate any and all guidance.
