Hello Apple alumni,
I was an editor at Apple (in AppleCare) from 1999 until 2001 and laid off at the beginning of their slump. I've always wanted to go back, and now there's a job posted that I'd would love a shot at because I match the job description to a T.
I've applied for other jobs through Apple's employment site, but without so much as a nibble from HR, even for jobs I was qualified and over-qualified for. This time i would really like to try an inside track (which was how I got the interview for my first job there), but all my Apple contacts have left or been laid off or fallen off the face of the planet.
So the point of all this is: Is anyone out there still connected to the company enough to assist me with getting an inside contact for this position? I'd be a very, very grateful camper if anyone could help me out.
