I found at walmart a bra cup by Hanes model L/M 132 although it attaches in the front in which you will have to replace that with your own band...the cups are perfect for making your own bra.
For me though, Since Im a 40 D I go to Lane Bryant and get the fully padded hard cupped bra's that they have there.

Re: Hard cup bras
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 8:35 PMI like a firm cup to I am a 40 DD and it's easier to cover when it has some padding and firmness to it. I also since I am a 40DD leave the shoulder straps, no halters for my girls.LOL -

Re: Hard cup bras
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 11:39 PMi too do not use halter style for my bra. I put mine with the X style in the back. i make my own straps with the double fold bias tape and add gross grain ribbon in the center. I then sew them together and cover the straps with material of the costume. I would never use regular stretchy bra straps. -

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 5:03 PMGreat idea, I thought about making the straps with some kind of padded foam or something to help too. Kind of like the strap protectors you can buy and put under your strap to ease cutting in to your shoulder.
