Just an update--

Next week in the Monday night class (Feb. 4) we'll do one last review of the combos for the Suco de Tangerina choreography. Then we'll practice them with the music and try to dance the whole song. If you want to practice it between now and then, pay special attention to the timing in the piece--we've been drilling the combos at a much faster tempo than we will actually use them at. : )

By the end of next week I'd like to know who wants to keep working with that piece so that we can find some time for me to teach you the stylized parts, the arms and for us to work out formation changes. I'll also try to put together a video of myself doing the number by then so that you can use it as a practice companion. If you think you want to keep working on it but aren't sure, let me know and we can figure it out. There's no obligation to perform although I'd love to have some of you (you know who you are!) perform this at one of the Spring haflas.

Also next class...I'll have practice CDs with the next song we'll be working with. Yay! It's not as obscure as the last one so some of you will be familiar with it already, I'm sure.

And last but not least, this Saturday is Rhonda's party! Some of us will be going and if you haven't been to one yet, you're missing out! Also there is something cooking for Friday night at Chandelier with the Tabu ladies...let me know if you're interested in either of those and we'll schedule in some bellydance fun time!
