Well I have been dying to meet some hooper friends in Calgary and am having a hard time. I decided to check the web and what do you know. there is a "Tribe" of you. I would really like to get together and hoop sometime. Keep me posted. Thanks Tracy

Welcome to the Calgary hooping tribe! We would love to have another addition to our hoop outings, we usually get together on Fridays at 2pm at Prince's Island Park and on Sat. at Olympic Plaza at 4. Although this friday we probably won't be because its supposed to rain, and on sat I am not too sure cuz we are planning for burning man. However, I know some people are planning on hooping down at Reggae festival on the 18th at Millenium Park. I think I should be checking that out as well.
Also, check here on friday and I will post if I am planning on heading out to OP this Sat.

So maybe some other weekend, although i do know Burning Man starts soon so depending when you guys leave it might not be for a while. Have fun. Tracy -

Fri, August 10, 2007 - 11:25 PMI am brand new here as well, I found a link to this tribe via hooping.org! unfortunately, I also am unable to come on Fridays, but I usually go to the drum circles and hoop there on Sunday evenings in Riley Park. I am just learning, but I would love to meet fellow hoopers! -

Sat, August 11, 2007 - 12:12 AMIm down for hooping on saturday at OP if its still a go. Also...i dont think i have to work sunday night....so perhaps i should venture down to riley park for some hooping. Is Riley Park by the SAIT train station? damn public transit :( -

Sat, August 11, 2007 - 12:24 AMI think that you can just walk there from sunnyside station. its just north of there on the main road. if you plan on comming, just follow the drumming sound.

I haven't made it to any of the drum circle jams this year, but last year are regular hoop jams were at the drum circles at Riley. We also got in a tonne of fire spinning last year, and this year my firehoop has been feeling very neglected.
Welcome to the hooping tribe though, and hopefully I will meet you at one of the jams before I head out to Bman.

Im trying to round up some friends to come to the drum circle. I think it will be rad. I just do the normal hooping, but hopefully someone there will let me spin their fire hoop to try it out. I'd love that!

Yeah I am up for some hooping tomorrow, I am just not sure what time yet. We have to go get are bikes fixed tomorrow and go drop some stuff off at a friend's house who is making hoop holders for our bikes. After that stuff is done though I am totally up for some hooping. I am thinking later in the day like 5pm if thats good with you. And anyone else who sees this is welcome to come. Also, if it is raining tomorrow I may not want to go, but it is supposed to be 19degrees so hopefully it will be that nice for hooping.

I forgot that taste of calgary was going on and i had promised my friend we'd go. So i will be doing that. I have next saturday off so i will be hooping (and friday as well). I hope you guys have fun. Im gonna come this sunday for the fire jam/drum circle. I may just come alone, i dont know if renee can come. Will you be there? I've never been to one!
Sorry again about not coming last week with all by break up troubles...
