Just a reminder that Kris Kinder is coming up on Dec. 9th. If you're interested in attending the info is on the baronial website. www.forgottensea.com It gives directions and a list of activities. It's usually well attended unless there is a snow storm. Hope to see a bunch of you there.

Sun, December 10, 2006 - 2:40 PMhave to say was a little let down.... brought a newbie... he enjoyed it...but was on the small side...and expensive as far as I was concerned..,. 7 used to get you at least unlimited drink all day...let alone lunch... the sold lunch ran out of choices before we got hungry... IM from the east originally I hope other evernts arent so pricey....
the Drumming turned out to be wonderfull... thanx.. I just got back from lunch too late for the dancers...they went away...but we had some great jams and had two halflings practicing dancing which made my day...wish I had my camera out to get some vid...they were really great...
I beleve someone was filming...hope to see it posted somewhere....

Mon, December 11, 2006 - 3:48 PMI'm so glad we got to meet and you got to drum. We only had the stage for an hour. I'm afraid we have had to raise our prices because site fees have been going up. Finding affordable sites have been a big topic in BFS. I'm planning on a lot of ME stuff for horse and Falcon on Memorial Day at the same site as Lilies. You should try to make it to that. I think you'll have fun and I'll try and introduce you to some more drummer folk and ME folk. -

Tue, December 12, 2006 - 3:51 PMHeya Layla!
It was great meeting you at Kris Kinder and talking about Turkish dance. I look forward to seeing what y'all put together for classes at Lilies.
Speaking of things for Lilies...there was that one coin belt I saw that had all those heavy coins on it. Do you happen to know of anyone that sells just the coins? I've got a Turkish coat I'm making that is just begging to be laden with those heavy coins..... -

Re: Kris Kinder
Tue, December 12, 2006 - 9:31 PMActually I do. I'm low right now and have to save what I have in stock for a coin bra class I'm giving my students. I will be getting some more at the end of January when I buy huge quantites of stuff for my spring shows. If you can wait til then I charge 15.00 for 50 coin bundle. If you need to get them ASAP go to ebay there is usually someone selling them for around the same price. It was also nice ot meet you Jibril. I'm going to come up with a Turkish class just with you in mind. Plus I actually know a lot of turkish moves and it would be good for me to format them into a class. Glad you found us on tribe. Wed, December 13, 2006 - 4:39 PMOooo...YAY!!!
No hurries on when I need 'em buy...just as I know there's someplace to get some. Now to just do the math of how many coins per yard of fabric I'm working with on this coat idea...and then I'll let you know how much to set back for me. *heh*

Re: Kris Kinder
Mon, February 26, 2007 - 1:37 PMWhat IS the deal with the high-priced food and drink at Kinder anyway? I can eat and have all the sodas I could want for about 5-6 at a BLT event, but at Kinder you need a co-signer to buy a can of pop!
I think gas prices are keeping down the crowds this winter, I knew a few who just didn't have the cash to go.
Maybe we need to watch the costs to attend, with gas so high. I think some people figured if they paid up to $100 for gas, they wouldn't have any money left to buy anything anyway.
I didn't merchant because people don't buy tents until January, so its just an advertising thing for me.... maybe I will next year if the economy turns around a bit.

Mon, February 26, 2007 - 3:08 PMWe were not in charge of the Inn. So we had no say in the cost of food. When we have the Inn, prices are much more reasonable
