I started a new tribe when I got back this year to help burners who like BDSM and D/s play connect and coordinate for the burn next year.

With TOA MIA this year, and confusion about "Camp Arachnid" vs "Arachnia's Web", I thought a tribe like this would help all of these camps promote events, recruit campers, even coordinate afterparties and mixers, as well as provide a way for any burners to connect, volunteer and share information.

Burning Man 2007

Arachne's Web will be on Estuary past 9:00. (maybe 9:15)

We had our camp meeting last night and I think we have everything pretty well handled and have an awesome crew.

Classes and parties start on Wednesday. We will put the dome up on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. if anyone out there reading this can come by and help that would be awesome.

BM newbie

I met some burners at a party a few months ago, and decided I had to go. I've gotten lots of tips and advice. Recently I was told about different camps....the last two days I've been looking through them all looking for something I have in common,....and shazam rope people....that to me is home. I live in LA so getting to SF every weekend would be a bit difficult,but I'm sure I could make a few events. Just as a side note is anyone from here going to shibaricon in chicago next week. I'll be there so let me know if you're going.

I am looking for like minded folks so I may participate in activities up at burning man. How do I get involved? How does one join a camp? What is the best way to get involved in the groups that are going?

Help Wanted

I know this is short notice and all, but i was wondering if some gallant gentlemen, or even some downright dastardly men and or women/ladies would be willing to help me move from my place in Emeryville to my new one in San Leandro. I would be ever so greatfull, and of course would repay such kindnesses with booze and food. Also, if you are interested, I have a couple of things that gotsta go. I have an airconditioner/swampcooler that would work really well in a largish window, a dishwasher, and a larger modle dorm fridge. I would be willing to give it away to a needy home. Otherwise I will probably just take pictures and sell them off on craigslist.

SO! Any takers? Anyone? Anyone? Bueler? Bueler?

OH! Addendum, sorry, I would be needing you the eveings of Sat the 2nd and Sun the 3rd. I have to work this weekend because of a performance the preceeding weekend. But if time is an issue, I could hand someone trustworthy my keys! Though I personally won't get out of work in Walnut Creek till about 4:15 pm. Yeah, I know bad timing. I can't help it!

For those of you who are considering helping me fo this move, the move will be an all or nothing this coming Saturday the 2nd, and I will be supplying the BEST ribs and grub in general in town! Dougs ribs! So grub WILL be GOOD! So please help! I will be starting everything kinda late in the day so you will have time for your picniks or what not. I plan on starting about 6ish. Arachnid classes

Just figured I'd ask the general community if there were any requests for what classes get taught this year - either specific types of rope bondage or other BDSM classes. We have 4-8 possible instructors this year, with an average of about 6 years of rope experience and 10 years in the scene each, so there's not many rope or BDSM subjects we couldn't teach if there was enough demand.

Our plan is to have about 10-12 classes this year, mainly at 10am, 3pm, and 5pm each day.

Burning Man prep season is well underway. Camp Arachnid is busy building our dome, planning a fundraiser (more info shortly), and generally knocking off the cobwebs in preparation for the Playa.

SF Peer Rope practice, Monday April 24th

Practice sessions run from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in San Francisco.
Practices have a recommended $5-10 donation which go solely towards covering venue costs. No RSVP is needed in order to attend.

The last bondage party I had at my place in SF was a big success, so I'm planning on doing another one on Saturday April 8th. It will probably be beginning rope stuff around 7:30, more advanced stuff starting around 8:30, and then intermittent rope and playing and drinking and socializing and general funness for as late as we can go.

Camp Arachnid rope practice: Sunday, Feb. 26th @ 3PM

Rope is a versatile and inexpensive tool for erotic play. Want to learn a few new tricks, or just get some practice in?

Camp Arachnid has taught rope bondage to over a thousand Burning Man attendees over the past four years. We've also thrown some kickass parties in the SF area, and we hold rope practices off and on during the year.

Our next practice will be this upcoming Sunday, Feb. 26th, at 3PM. All skill levels and orientations welcome, whether you prefer to give or to receive. Partners welcome but not required. The practice is free, and a good chance to meet some likeminded folks in a relaxed environment.

This is not a formal class -- pointers are available to those who want them, but you are also encouraged to share what you know with others.

The location is a private residence in South San Francisco. Light play is permitted at the session, but you are asked to arrive dressed discreetly. Two cats share the house, so those with allergies should take note.

RSVP to Chain Lynx with a bit of info about yourself to receive directions.
