Who's doing greywater this year? Also, with the addition of more people, we need to accommodate enough evap space. I have some plastic (probably half of what we'll need) hammer/nails, and about 6 feet of 2x4s (not enough).

Re: Greywater?
Tue, August 14, 2007 - 6:58 PMgood call. last i heard, steven was going to 'borrow' some wood from a construction site, but we should either make sure that happens or get someone else on it. i can take care of that. i'm not on the big list of other crap.
speaking of water (sort of) what about kitchen utensils? pots and pans? can opener? that sort of thing. -

Re: Greywater?
Tue, August 14, 2007 - 7:14 PMJessi has plastic for 5' x 5' greywater on her list, see the "making a list" thread. We had previously already accounted for making the greywater bigger this year to accommodate more peeps.
I think it was in that thread that I also asked about kitchen stuff ages ago, and Stephen had a list of stuff he was brining (I think, I go check). -

Wed, August 15, 2007 - 8:04 PMDid we also want to do the wicking thing we did last year? I am happy to bring bricks and fabric for this, but I'm not sure how we set it up. -

Re: Greywater?
Wed, August 15, 2007 - 11:38 PMi think i have left over fabric for wicking from last year. we just used some pieces of wood and line to string the fabric out. i'm not sure if it really helps or not but it don't hurt.

Re: Greywater?
Fri, August 17, 2007 - 4:32 PMProbably a couple extra 2x4's. Jessi and I both have plastic, so that should be taken care of. If you wanna do the hanging cloth thing- go for it too. -

Re: Greywater?
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 9:37 AMi ended up getting a combined total of 16' split up into four 3' and 2'. so with your lengths we can do up to a 24' sq foot pool. do we have enough plastic to cover that?
if the wind and dust persist, this may be irrelevant anyway :| -

Re: Greywater?
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 11:57 AMYeah, the wind might be a problem for the plastic. We can use filled water bottles, extra 2x4s to batten down the hatches. Probably should stay away from the hanging cloth idea if wind is problematic. -

Re: Greywater?
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 12:08 PMI've got a few bricks to throw down in too, which should help. I've got pleanty of plastic, and I can bring extra in case it rips away with the crazy wind. I'll bring more than 4 nails too. ;)
