Helloooo Jessi and Flava-flavians!

So back in January, Stephen and I were kinda unsure of the status of Mad Flava, since the two of us were thinking of evolving ourselves a bit and camping either with Pancake full-on or our LA friends the Mystical Misfits. It's not that we don't want to do Mad Flava anymore, but indeed the camp itself had seemed to evolve - people were migrating to other camps, others didn't come in 2008, etc - which put most of the responsibility of all the planning, financials, and camp setup/breakdown on us, which was kind of hard. In the end, we had a blast last year, but were kind of exhausted...

BUT, after some back and forth, we have decided to go for it this year. With all the camp infrastructure we have already in Reno (brilliant!), it would be sad for us not to do it (plus, we like getting there early on Saturday).

So GAME ON! As usual, CMF will serve as a satellite camp to Pancake, and we can discuss who might want to camp on our turf.

This is the bigger question - what is CMF going to do this year? Last year was a little lacking on the "contributions" front, despite the fact that Stephen, Tim and I worked shifts at Pancake every single day...Discuss! I know we will be doing the 5K again, and maybe Jon and CC want to resurrect the PhoQ noodle cart in some way?

Jessi - I am really interested in still contributing a lot to Pancake. I would be happy to pay camp dues (because I think it's not terribly fair that I get to flip pancakes and interact with people without having paid), and would love to work shifts this year, if possible.

I think it might be good to get another forum going for Flava, since I'm not sure who logs into Tribe anymore...I'll email ya!

Whoa I logged onto Tribe for the first time today in a while and- what is this? A discussion in Camp Mad Flava!

CC and I are definitely planning on camping with Mad Flava. The noodle cart is a go, although there may be some permutation of the idea. I think we'll even apply for the permit this time so it's all legal. My favorite time was the temple at sunrise- I'd like to hit up that again.

The Pancake satellite placement seemed pretty damn nice two years ago. I wasn't there last year, but I heard it went well also. I am not opposed to camping further away from everything like we used to however. It was kind of nice to have lots of space and not have to worry about people cutting through our camp all the time (or drunk Irish folks blazing in under the cover of night on a mushroom fueled land grab).

So far we have CC, me, Stephen, Shannon, Jessi and Steve- is this correct? I imagine there will be more, let's sound off!

Woah! Activity on tribe? This is the first time I've logged on in months, but glad we're all slowly resurrecting as the countdown to BM09 begins!

Yup, like Shannon and Jonny said, Mad Flava is going to be fully operational this year. I have my ticket in hand and am already REALLY excited about our camp this year. I loved being next to pancake, and loved flipping those cracked out cakes (including me) early in the morning. How much are dues? I might as well be official since I hang out with all you fools anyway! Plus, I'll get a caker name, right?

The n00dley cart is coming back - bigger and badder than before (as soon as we figure out what that will be. hehe). Super stoked on that!

Flavians, anyone know if Stephen's going to submit the theme camp app again?

There's also word on the street that Jon Ray and Benito might camp with us this year. It's still up in the air, but they're thinking of joining our camp.
