<div>The report of opening weekend was interesting. <br/>Things for the crew are dismal, as it seems there is only one shower for the whole crew, since there was no shower trailer ordered by the powers that be. All electricity comes from a private generator so that is limited to certain times of the day and collections have to be taken up for gasoline to run the generator. Camping for crew has not improved much; needless to say, camp moral is most definitely low. Ran faire... no drama... take 12. **click**. <br/>Other than that, the Faire did open as planed. Saturday saw crowds of around 2 - 3 thousand. While Sunday, being Easter, only showed crowds of a thousand or so. The Lord Mayor parade went through the shire with an interesting Lord Mayor. The Easter Bunny was the Lord Mayor for the day and went through the shire passing out Easter eggs and such. <br/>It is reported that one female puritan was chasing the Easter Bunny around yelling that he was a false idol, while attempting to bash it with a club and apparently kill it. Lines are being drawn on the ground, and the crew is hard at work taking all of the toys out of their boxes. <br/> <br/>Camp is growing. Some people are still MIA but that should soon change. Still no electriciy or water in camp so I'm sure when the "Shower Trailer" shows up there will be a line! Some are ready to jump into the lake to satisfy a hygenic need. <br/> <br/>So far so good. <div>As the secretary for Camp Smiley I will post what I know per conversations with the camp mayor. <br/> <br/>Support services showed up yesterday to start work on the site, to find that the county had not signed the papers yet. After much confusion and debate the county finally signed and they took posession today March 1st as planned. <br/> <br/>Camp Smiley is now up and running with the population of one. They will only allow 20 people to camp onsite and nothing is in place at this point except the mayors tent and one porta potty on the other side of the site.
