Well, I'm in Northern CA, so I'd love to hear a bunch of places not too far that're campy and fun.
I went to Sierra Hot Springs and loved it- it's a sister place to Harbin, but oh-so-clean and there's NOTHING around. Plus you get use of the kitchens, bathrooms, showers, fridge, and hotsprings included with the camping price! Sweeeet.

Re: Obvious First Topic- Places to Go?
Tue, May 2, 2006 - 2:31 AMSanta Cruize has cabbins for rent. $15. a night. They could fit about 6 girls. And there's all sorts of stuff there.
Arcata redwoods has some great places out in the woods for pitching a tent.
There's hot spings all up and down the west coast. Personally I would perfer one that did not have a resort and man made pools and staff working at it. There are loveley ones that are natural streams and pools in the woods and you would have to camp in a tent.
Then there's always the 101. Highway 101 is mostly undevelopled woods and coastline. There's camp grounds and very cheap inns scattered all up and down.
Ever been to Las Vegas? I wouldn't mind camping out for a weekend in a hotel in Las Vegas? What? I'm sure there's a tree there, in the lobby or something, that's nature.
