If you care about education, the environment, healthcare, and the economy, you should vote strategically tomorrow and get your friends and family to as well.
Please go to this website to find out who to vote for in your area so that Harper does not get in again.
He is the worst prime minister we have ever had.

For the Sunshine Coast, vote Ian Sutherland of the Liberals.
For downtown Vancouver, vote for Hedy Fry, Liberal Party of Canada
Harper does not care about you or this country. We do not want a Prime Minister who only cares about his own self-interests, bullying, closing facilities that help people with the disease of addiction (it is a disease that never goes away for people such as heroin addicts and alcoholics), and putting children behind bars (recently he has proposed to change the Youth Criminal Justice Act).
He wants a majority government so that he can have total rule like a fascist leader to advance his conservative right wing agenda. That is not democracy.
He has cut funding for science research and he makes all news go through an approval process by the conservative media centre (also known as the conservative war room) before it can be published including scientific work done by Environment Canada scientists. This is censorship and keeps the public from knowing the truth.
He refuses to do anything to help the economy whereas other country's governments, such as Australia and the UK, have even had to get involved. Harper says everything is fine when it obviously is not.
The conservatives are interested in increasing foreign investment and ownership of Canadian companies. Where do you think this is going to take us in the long run?
He seems to think that cutting taxes is some sort of solution but it really only gets him votes. It leaves the country without money for healthcare and education. Due to lack of increased funding for universities, our schools now have to give an increasing number of student seats to international students who pay higher fees. This is how universities are able to keep running. Every international student keeps a Canadian student out of university. Tuition fees are also steadily being increased. Our high school students have to fight for a place to get in to their first year programs and spend years on waiting lists for nursing programs. I thought we had a shortage of nurses? What doesn't add up? International students get trained here and leave. There is not enough funding for education.

Re: How to Stop Harper in Tomorrow's Election
Mon, October 13, 2008 - 6:46 PMThe issue is vote splitting. All the right wing parties have joined together and the left wing parties are all still divided. This means that the conservatives need less votes to get in.
We have to vote for the party that is most likely to succeed in a specific riding.
If you vote green and the greens do not get in in your riding, then your vote doesnt mean anything and it is a vote that does not do anything to keep Harper out.
Any left wing government is better than a right wing government. -

Wed, October 15, 2008 - 5:22 PMAny feedback on whether this worked in any ridings? It definitely paid off in my riding of Vancouver Quadra. In the bi-election last year the Libs beat the Conservatives by around 100 votes. This time it was 4,000 and that's with the exact same candidates.
