Dreaming...

The richness of my dreams again lately aroused some more curiosity in what we are doing when we dream.

Not sure about others, but i love sleeping and dreaming! I meditate at night as well, right before going to sleep and have found this tends to often contribute to my dreams being more lucid, rich and "meaningful". Or at least feeling more aware of unity between what I dream and my inner & manifesting realities when " awake".

That I can remember, there have been a number of times when i was very aware that I was dreaming, while sleeping & dreaming, which felt kind of natural in a way. Suppose it is, since it is. Sometimes I was able to use that awareness to change the course of a dream, by transforming my attitude, beliefs or expectations about myself, a situation and / or reality. This feels like a very healthy, positive ability to nurture our well being. You know what I mean? Taking active control or participation in the feelings, thoughts, expectations and perspectives which we may have accumulated throughout our many life experiences thus far. From our own underexamined or snowballed beliefs and those of others we may have allowed ourselves to be influenced by over time.

There have been times where I do not remember dreaming anything at all, as well. Have heard some people express believing having no dreams at all is an expression of enlightenment.?
Not sure if i believe that in a complete sense? Maybe?. Then again, that is a bit like suggesting if we are totally enlightened we need not ever move, breathe, eat or "do" anything at all. Now I love standing meditation, but movement is also a part of life, creativity and exploration. Learning may well be endless, not only in a mental sense but spiritually as well?
Sometimes dreams can just be rehashing of past experiences or projections of concerns. They can also be explorations and expressions of much else. Including connecting with other beings in the psychic / spiritual planes of reality for many purposes. For our own and / or others benefit and assistance.
There have been times when dreaming that I felt I was connecting with other people who i either already knew personalll in "normal" physical relations for various purposes. And sometimes with people I either knew only a little or not at all, as a way of sensing each others energies and discovering how we might harmonize with each other for personal relating. To share feelings, knowledge or ... Or other impulses.

Do you enjoy dreaming? Remember dreams usually?
What are your feelings about dreaming, dreams, consciousness as it relates and traverses between sleeping and waking...?

Yes Aaron! Everything you said :) I love dreaming and my dreams are spiritual, significant and astral. However, it's an all or nothing thing for me. I go through phases where I don't remember dreams for a long time and then it's night after night and usually the dreams are all seemingly connected. I have recieved gifts from dreams that have brought major changes to my life and have connected me to certain people in ways that transformed into my concious self. Most of my dreams too are related with animals or anything with wings, usually birds or angels.
