whats it called again?
my 8 year old son was doing it the other evening
while playing his guitar for me
and I tried to recall/tell him the name of it
but for the life of me
couldnt remember what it is/was called
it's a real method of playing yes?
with a name, yes?
or am I just making stuff up again

I know it does (I think)
Jeremy Horton once showed me/had me doing it for him/them
back in the day at a house party on his bass
and he said.... "see, your playing guitar, thats called"
????????????

his finger-touch style of playing is a way to play notes on a guitar as if he were playing notes on a tabla drum
at least that's what he told me when I asked him about it -

Tue, March 11, 2008 - 2:40 PMI'm almost sure that it's called tapping. My house musician said it's called slapping when you do it on a bass and tapping (or finger tapping?) when you do it on guitar. I'll buy that. Whatever it is, I love it! Keller Williams does it a lot too, in fact he's who I associate it with. I'm always like "Yay, Bo's doing that Keller thing!" hahaha nobody tell Bo I said that! :)
