while playing his guitar for me
and I tried to recall/tell him the name of it
but for the life of me
couldnt remember what it is/was called

Re-oredered Tshirts

as I stated in the other thread
"disclaimer, none of the greens are what I "thought" they would be/appeared online"
I must admit I was/am disappointed with the lack of contrast between the lettering and color of the tshirts that were printed
I thought it was worth a phone call to the production company
after many emails, phone conversations, taking photos of what I recieved, photo's of what appeared/printed on my computer, uploadeing images, etc...
I have placed a "new" order
I am waiting for a final "proof" from the company to give them the go-ahead
but I "believe" the new order/tshirts will def. be more of what I was thinking
they assure me I will have the new tshirts by March 12th

New Deal on T's

I ve been on the phone with them for awhile now
and I think we have worked out the kinks

heres the deal
they suggested using 2 colors on the back to make graphic stand out from the lettering
(Jen suggested that a long time ago)
so...

if we have them printed in 2 colors
the fee goes up

to $11.29 each

so what do yall want to do?

I say go with the 2 color design like recommended

Shipping and final (?) price of T's

OK, we are at 30 shirts
I will order this Friday
at this count the price is a few cents under $11.00 ($10.82)
so if no one else speaks up before I order
$11.00 will be the final price
(I hope this is OK w/yall as I dont wish to do the math of the .82, so I rounded up to $11.00)
if the .18 cents is an issue, by all means dont send it/give it to me
I maybe making a bigger deal of it than needs to be but I dont wanna do the math is all

for those of you that need yours shipped
Im just going to do it b/c there are just a few of you
one of my *perks* as my boss out it once put it
of being shipping manager/ whatever else they decide I need to do for the day

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters Life!) - The Grateful Dead, the San Francisco cult rock band that has played at political events since the 1960s, will reunite on Monday for the first time in four years to rally support for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, a spokesman said on Friday.

Band leader Jerry Garcia died in 1995. Surviving members have played together occasionally since then, most recently in 2004. On Monday, original members Mickey Hart, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir will play at a San Francisco theater a day before California's primary.

"They have agreed to reunite for this one-time-only event in order to lend support to Senator Obama leading into the crucial 'Super-Tuesday' series of primaries held on Tuesday, February 5th," the band said in a statement.

The band gained fame with its free-form psychedelic music when the counterculture movement flourished in San Francisco in the 1960s, and they attracted many loyal fans who came to be known as "Deadheads."

I'll start (but most of you already know)

Im Family Girl (Leslie) in Houston
I was turned on to NM via a friend who insisted
"you have to go to this show, you'll love them"
she was right
that was 2003
there were late nights, hanging out, stuff that should be left in Vegas (Houston) ;-P, etc...
way too much fun to mention it all
I have had the opp. to travel a tiny bit and support them other places as well
which is always cool to do new things with people you love
and how can you NOT LOVE ALL OF THEM?
they're awesome humans
as is this family that is growing daily

I was crazy about them as a whole (of course)
but Im a sucker for acoustic quitar and I must confess... banjo's
I think it just suits my personality more than the heavier stuff
so what Bo puts into the mix was what did it for me
and the bluegrassie tunes, oh my the bluegrassie ones
there aint nothin like bouncing around to Daddy Long Legs w/your buddies
to get the serotonin flowing
and lets not forget my other all time fave... Rattle Snake Ride

Mountain Jam!

Wow, I'm so sorry for those of you that missed Mountain Jam.
But as an East coaster, I'm not that sorry. Y'all get way more shows
than I do. Hopped planes for both the Denver NYE run and the
Carolinas run in March, and saving my pennies for my next flight.
Yeah, they're worth every penny.

So anyhow, I was one of the very lucky, but wet, folks that got to see a spectacular
set live. I was leaning on the rail, with Grateful Fred, when the guys came out on stage.
Their equipment was soaked, so they broke down and moved everything back. An
announcement came on about an especially bad storm cell fixing to hit us, and to take cover. Hell with that...Fred & I stayed and waited. Once the rain cleared, Jeff came out
and said they probably weren't playing. Haha...but then Dani came out and said "look,
it's clearing, they might play". She gave us hope, and once Warren gave the word, they
retook the stage, and gave us the most blistering, on fire, 32 minutes of pure love that
I've ever experienced. Highlight for me was watching Bo pick up his banjo, Traveling
Gypsies being my absolute favorite song. Man, or man, I died and went to heaven when
he struck those opening notes. Like I said, the set was incredible, and they played the hell
out of it. Sad to say, the set was over quickly, way too quickly. Never got a chance to say
hey to the guys, tho Fred hung with them for awhile, so I'm sure she has stories. Did get
to meet a couple of fans at the rail with us, I definitely remember young Andrew...

Now, when the heck is my next show???
