selling "raw" Honey!
How would you get a health permit to do that?
Or what ever Food Permit would you need?
And wouldn't it conflict with Casa's Store?
Or at which faire were you thinking?
And haven't I seen Honey tubes being sold at Faire? -

And haven't I seen Honey tubes being sold at Faire?
Yes, at the Tea booth, They are delicious, And by the way, Honey is a natural antibacterial, no life can grow in it. So if you get cut out in the woods or something, cover it with honey and it will help keep infection away until it can be treated properly.... -

Topical honey not only has antibacterial properties, but also has been found to have some anti-fungal use as well. It has been effectively used for thousands of years, and even now is sometimes used for resistant strains of infection in wounds.
One word of caution: Honey should not be fed to infants under the age of 12 months, because it can harbor an otherwise non-dangerous level of botulism. Young infants' digestive systems aren't mature enough to provide the level of acids necessary to render this risk harmless (and it is harmless to healthy mature systems.) -

Thanks everyone, I was thinking of my younger days, when my father used to "raise" bees, and got to thinking about how long ago, did people actually start "harvesting" honey, and of course in my mind up popped the Ren-faire.

they also say that if you ingest the local honey(where you are) it is sapposed to combat allergys. sorry about the spell but i cant find the spell check on this new lap top.

Now, if you were going to use RAW honey, I think fighting off the bees would be a bigger problem than a cut or scratch...just say'n

Yes, Chuck, the whole process of gathering raw honey can be(e) painful, as well as sticky, I have been there and been stung hundreds of times but, the honey tasted great, the bees on the other hand were kind of sour actually.

Hi Stuart,
Bee keeping and the harvesting of honey has been practiced in the Baltic’s for thousands of years. At one time honey and amber were the two top exports out of Latvia.
Here is a quick link that will give you a general flavor of honey’s history.

I couldn’t seem to find any decent history of honey on line that didn’t try to sell you bee keeping supplies.
