I'm looking to doing some resing casting to make some props for a movie project I'm trying to assemble together, but I have no experience with it. It looks pretty cheap and easy to do, but my apartment is too small to make a big mess in. Can anyone here give me some pointers?

Re: Resin casting?
Mon, January 29, 2007 - 7:31 AMOk, a little late to answer but;
Use your bathroom. Turn the vent fan on, buy a face mask(not the paper dust protector, the ones with an actual cartridge), lay down a trash bag in the tub and go for it. Casting is pretty simple, but the fumes are scary. If you've an apartment with a porch or landing I'd suggest using that. What scale are you molding? -

Tue, January 30, 2007 - 9:48 AMIt's going to be kinda small. I'm looking to suspend small objects in resin blocks. (About the size of a bar of soap.) -
