Hi, I was made aware of this festival by Tarik Sultan, whom I believe will be visiting with Morocco, what I would like to know, as I have only just started learning BD, is this festival open to spectators and possibly photographers ? I say spectator, as I don't know if I will be advanced enough to benefit from anything else aside from the inspiration, and this will be my first BD event, so my plans were just to visit and take in the atmosphere, if that is permitted ?

Also, from where may I purchase tickets for the festival ?

It was my first time last year and I was a BD newbie too. I went to the classes and I learnt loads and even the classes that were a little advanced for me were really fun. I enjoyed the whole thing. If you type in Celebrating Dance on Google, it will come up with the home page and details of how to buy tickets are on there. Good luck - if you do decide to go you'll enjoy it as everyone who was there was really nice and friendly regardless of their level.

Hi Andy ! - Come along and do some workshops !! There are workshops aimed at all different levels and the discriptions help you chose something to suit your interests and level. Plus by the autumn you wont be a newbie anymore :)

Alas, I feel I will not be attending, the costs are beyond my student status, a great pity, as I live only 27 miles away.

But of other things, yes, I am still a newbie, can't quite get the shimmies, but have mastered the camel and reverse camel, and I have made my own dance fringe belt from chain maille, beads, coins and tassles. Oh and I have a difficulty, I struggle with my lefts and rights to everyone's amusement, but I don't care.
