After we had such a good time at the Pgh Bellies event last weekend, I thought maybe some of our Erie friends might consider coming around the lake to Canadia for our next hafla, January 24th. (I'm the lone Khafifi living on the other side of the border, although Safa's up here right now, too).

The Northern Oasis Hafla rides again!

We miss having our friends over to play music and dance all night, so we're finally hosting another hafla at our place. Details below:

Bring your instruments and your favorite hip belts or scarves, and
come over to our place to shimmy and play music all night long with
friends. We'll have tasty middle eastern snackage and our usual
homemade chai, and lots of room to dance, play music, or just lounge
and show off your jewelry:-)

When: Saturday, January 24th, 2009, beginning at 7pm
