Erie inventor John Kanzius, who devised a way to use directed radio waves in an attempt to kill cancer cells in humans, died today in Florida. Kanzius was battling the affects of pneumonia and leukemia at the time of his death.
Researchers in Texas and Pittsburgh were testing the Kanzius Radio Wave Therapy and recent results seemed to indicate that the research was on the fast track for testing in humans.
Kanzius was 64 years old and a former television executive in Erie.

Heard this on the radio today. I was saddened to hear the news of his death. I hope that whomever carries on with the cancer reasearch is just as passionate about finding a cure.

I agree with all of you..it was a great experience and I'm glad to have met him too. I also think daily about how thankful I am to all the people who helped make the event a success!! That I will never forget!

I would love to see the pic of Kamille with John, I know one was taken but never saw it. Kamille was holding a red fan in front of them and he was beaming..actually he requested the pic to be taken since she came all the way from San Fran..
