Wed, February 13, 2008 - 2:52 AMOh yeah... I forgot that YouTube got banned AGAIN here but I am pretty sure it is up and running again. I just can't get it to open everytime from my computer for some reason.
Thanks for the describe, Blokey. I guess singing ventrioliquists would go over my head in the humor department but I bet it is good. ;D
I am proud of myself for not having called you BROCK for awhile.

You could feel the collective groan when he comes out on stage.. but the shock was wonderful when he opened the puppets mouth because it was one talented puppet who was an excellent mimic of some great voices !

Well done ! Mind you "Brock" is a lot better than some of the names my mates call me :) -

I may have been misinformed, but I have heard that this is an accepted Hindu teaching; I think of it as an attempt to preempt a rival faith that has enjoyed more success than devout Hindus like to contemplate.

Re: A game for dummies ?
Sat, February 23, 2008 - 8:28 PMOops, that made no sense whatever. I have posted a quote from a response to someone else on another thread and a different tribe. My most abject apologies to all. The line I meant to post was about the claim that Gotama is an avatar of Vishnu/Krishna.
I fear I am not yet quite as perfect as I had hoped to be. Please forgive me. It's late, and I'm not tracking too well.

Re: A game for dummies ?
Sun, February 24, 2008 - 9:28 PMWell.. I'm still confused as to what's going on here... but frankly... that's part of the fun.
Like Mahavirna and Gosala, Gotama put all the worship of Brahmist gods behind him--and even refused to speculate as to how we all got here. That's the point of the "drop-out" faiths these 3 formed. So, in that light, Gotama couldn't have been an avatar of Vishnu/Krishna and Buddhist don't need to rejoin the Hindu and/or Krishna Society and come "back" into the fold (for their thinking that Gotama and Vishnu are One). That's not to say that many Buddhists haven't become more *Hindu* over time...
