Just so you know, I’ve no idea what the fuck’s happening with the blackhole that ate the H-Bar lounge. Hydra’s been sweating diesel and crying slick, mercury tears as she slowly tugs out the seared and blackened remains of the heart (“it hurt to tug it out, but it was the only way I could give it to you”). Excavation nightmare. Auto-pilot error. Core distress. Coffins lined up on the airstrip. I think that a lot of my noise posts are going to be lost forever to the ethers which makes me want to huff some ether. Oh, my bruised headache.
Instead, I’m going to injure myself. Yes, that’s right, Chemlab are going to be playing another one-off event, this time we’re back in the jagged gut of NYC, baby. Pretty soon we’ll have to stop calling them “one-off events” and start calling them something else, like an oxygen-tent tour.
Saturday night, the 7th of January, 2006, Albion/Batcave/Downtime, New York City. Come start the static confusion and pre-take off jet fuelling of the new year with a cattle-prod of agony-stained love crackling blue-sparks of post-Christmas cheer against your inner ring. It’s gonna be vicious as a knife fight in a phonebooth and all of the Handcuff Switch Freaks, Wireheads, 50-foot tall Plastic Robots, Industry Charm-Whores, Dogjawwed Tension Boys, Cocksucker Blues, Sunglass-stun Girls, Shinjuku Anger Mongers, Looped CCTV Junkies and Gas Drinkers have to be there to celebrate not having died yet!
Support will be deafening, but I’m telling nothing right now. Suck it and see. The dj’s will be previewing tastes from the double-sided horrorshow remix CDs “Rock Whore versus Dance Floor”.
