I'm a little curious how it looked in hindsight from different perspectives.
I wasnt onsite to check the potties after the event, so I guess im really wondering if the potty vendor had any noticeable problems cleaning up the pottybanks afterward, and did the signs help reduce trash at all.
Also curious as to overall opinion on crowd behavior; seemed to me like most everyone was being well behaved, and hopefully not trashing the joint too much. Were the trashcans effective, and how many of them got overfilled?
epilogue - i got robbed upon arriving in LA and was cleaned of my wallet containing everything, also my cool pile of posters. least i still got a few of the cut-corner ones.

Re: After-event comments?
Wed, November 2, 2005 - 12:01 PMYo bro-So, I'm very curious to know what happened with you? Upon checkin' the last meetin' Thursday at 2b1 office I asked for you all around & not only never found you, but no one knew who you were or are, so who are you?
From Thursday evenin' thru Monday afternoon I worked for Boots, Bones, Patty & Sarah. I did end up doin' the overnights as well as set-ups,breakdown & trash on Monday & the entire event on Sunday as backstage security.
It was a wonderful week-end & great to see so many old friends & meet a few potential new ones. What I'd really like to know though, is who are you, where were you, why did you tell me to get with you at the meetin' & then not be there or if you were there, why didn't you declare yourself & why didn't any of the actual event staff have a clue about you?
I'm not tryin' to offend, just really curious about the mystery of it.
P.S.-I spent a bit of time on the golfcart too, still never met you? End the suspense, who are you? -

Mon, November 7, 2005 - 3:40 AMyou might have run into me by the name i was being called that day, a name im known as in a few other circles as well, "spaz". i wore a red security jacket, a navy blue san francisco police ballcap and had a radio and a golfcart. pretty sure i spread the word that was the name to look me up under, if not then my bad. i try to avoid using the name spaz on tribe because it tends to get confused with the spaz arehouse of oakland of which i have nothing to do. spaz is my originally-given playa name from Burning Man.
i was mostly zipping around with the golfcart backstage escorting the musicians and their gear from their parking spots to the stage, among a bizillion other things i was doing that day. i think i broke only for the last half hour or so of the show, and at that point my feet were really in bad shape.
i hadnt exactly planned on the role i was given, and had hoped to be more available to connect with my own crew of volunteers, but thankfully sara and jerillyn deborah and others helped them all find tasks that got everyone busy. i was so proud to have my three DPW volunteers show up for their first-ever family dog gig and watch as they each setlled into handling some of the most delicate and serious backstage issues with confidence and grace. otto got appointed liaison for the hells angels, duck got to manage all kinds of functions for bonz and me, and tremain calm stood post for hours at the backstage gate parking entrance directing traffic i was unable to handle cuz there was just too many people arriving at once. seriously without these guys we'd have been so screwed back there i doubt anyone would have gotten their shit on stage in time.
im back in LA now locked in album recording sessions. i wont be there for the meeting/party on the 10th. yall have a good one and ill see you all sometime soon.
