SANTAKONG BASICS:

We're officially starting at Quenchers (Western & Fullerton) at 3:00. Folks who want to show up earlier to help the decorate the buses should do so - starting at 2:00. Instead of the trolleys as in past years, we're moving towards much cheaper school buses that can accommodate way more people and affordably work with us for much longer stretches of time. Anyone who wants to make school buses more like our trolleys from years past please come out early and help decorate.

This year's event is obviously much longer, much whackier, and hopefully will accommodate many more Santas. After Quenchers, our late afternoon plan is to hit The Chi-Town Tap on Lincoln in Lincoln Park, and possibly hit Lincoln Park Zoo. There will be some preliminary rampaging taking place during this time. We will then move towards downtown and possibly Wicker Park for our traditional activities: drinking, getting drunk, rampaging, and then continuing to drink some more. Oh and yelling. Don't forget the yelling.

We'll hit the Billy Goat, Macy's, Daley Plaza, the Newscasts, and all of the usual spots. Then we'll end up at Quencher's, where no doubt just pulling out $2.00 to pay for a PBR will require a super-human effort of concentration and hand-eye co-ordination.

One more IMPORTANT THING:
FOR THE LOVE GOD AND ALL THINGS HOLY . . . . please do not attempt to drive home after SantaKong. Seriously, Western & Fullerton is well-equipped with all sort of CTA access, and taxi cabs are everywhere down there. If you decide to drive home drunk and kill yourself, we'll be sad that you're dead, but mostly we'll be angry that your dead ass ruined SantaKong. (reprint courtesy of Downtown Dave)
