FIRETENDING: THE ART OF PAVING THE WALK
May 11 @ 7:30 P.M, $30
Kildeer, IL

In The Art of Paving The Walk, you'll get:

• 2 ways to build fires for firewalks
• The opportunity to know Fire's burning stages (a great skill and wisdom to apply to every day life!)
• Proper raking for a path walk and a circle walk (taking steps on the path)
• Firewalk Etiquette : drawing the lines for safety and laying the logs (creating safe boundaries), smoothing out the walk (developing/fine tuning foresight), watering the finish line (reflecting)
• How to correctly smoulder the fire after the walk: kissing the coals with the shovel- (thanking the teacher)
• Green Effect Clean Up (honoring the land)

In firewalking, we pave the walk as a service to our sacred teacher, Fire! When we commune with Fire, we begin learning the hidden gifts of the element of Fire that can be applied to any area of life. How deep we want to open and how much we want to learn remains entirely up to us as individuals. Learning to artfully pave the firewalk offers a hidden piece of information that offers gifts on upon walking The Path. In order to live life deeper, the way that we dream of living and know life is meant to be, we must first own the fact that we are creating our reality and take responsibility for what arises for us in life, whether externally or internally. The key to those gifts is our innate ability and conscious choice in owning our individual connection to the Divine, Spirit. As we learn to pave a cleaner and smoother walk for fire, we are also learning powerful tools for helping others as way-showers of whatever area of life we enjoy as our specialty or the manifestation of the plethora of skills that we can teach.
