Greetings Chicago Burners!
On behalf of the Steering Committee of Burning Man Chicago (BMC), we would like to congratulate all the producers, artists, performers,
musicians, DJs, members of the Department of Public Works, the Night Nurses, Greeters and everyone who participated in Resonate v.3.0 that made the event such an amazing success!!!
Due to the epic nature of this latest installment of Resonate, BMC now has a substantial amount of money in the treasury and would like the community's input on what to do with it. How can we best put the money to use?
BMC makes an annual donation of 10% of our net income to the Black Rock Arts Foundation. We would like your input on how we can
best invest the money in the treasury back into our community, such as in the form of Art Grants, seed money for future, all-community events like the upcoming Town Hall Meeting, Decompression'008 and Resonate v.4.0, Grants to Regional Events such as Lakes of Fire, as well as any other ideas y'all may have.
Also, our Town Hall Meeting is tentatively slated for late May and we're currently searching for a location at which to hold it, since
last year's location is no longer available. Any and all ideas are welcome.
All suggestions may be sent to chicago@burningman.com
Your Chicago Burning Man Regional Contacts,
Liz, Willy & Groot
