This short film is a parody of Ingmar Bergman’s better known films, including Wild Strawberries and The Seventh Seal. The principal character, Professor Viktor Sundqvist, 76, is being driven to a lecture at the university, when dove droppings splatter the car’s windshield. Detouring at his uncle’s old house, his mind wanders back to his youth, when Death came to a family picnic to claim his sister, Inga. Knowing that Death is a gambler, Viktor has Inga challenge Death to a single-point game of badminton for her life. While they are playing, a dove flies above, soiling Death’s cape, and distracting him enough to miss the birdie. Having won the game, Inga is free, and she and Viktor run off for a swim in the lake.

Hosting spiritual film screenings

I am a member of Cafh Foundation. Last weekend we had five successful screenings of “Peaceful Warrior” at our loft at 71st Street and Broadway in Manhattan. Today, I found this tribe. I am interested in finding films worthy of being shown at our space. I need to screen the movie first. If I find the film suitable, I would then have screenings in NYC and would most likely publish a review on the internet. I publish reviews only on spiritual films which I think will be of interest to our readers on Seeds of Unfolding. Well, its been just over a week and we already have 8 members. Every time I see a new member show up I get filled with energy. It is exciting to see the possibility of having a space where individuals can go to discuss there projects and get support from other tribe members..
Way too cool. With that I just wanted to let you all know that there is a opportunity that has opened up to finally start to build the cinemaforthesoul and booksforthesoul web sites. A real space for directors and producers to showcase there projects whether complete or in pre production, and to have a space that is tailored to support all its member. I will keep you posted on the development.
I also ask that you help me build this community by posting more articles and inviting more members...tribesman that you know that are interested in this type of cinema.....Please dont hesitate to contact me with any ideas or comments you have...

I get funding for films that inspire, invoke, or otherwise help the audience question their own limits.

That's my job. E-mail me if you have something that meets my requirements. If it something I am interested in, we can take the appropriate legal steps to protect your intellectual property before you send it to me if you have not already done so.

No first drafts.
You personally must be out of poverty consciousness.
No porn or horror.
Script is in Final Draft, have PDF handy.
Business Plan is a PDF. (If you do not have a plan in PDF, don't send it)
And it must have an audience that you can prove exists.

good cinema is like a fine dining experience that leaves you feeling somehow better....it's an investment in who you are, what you will learn and take in. when i reviewed films i came to loathe the movies filled with venom...their vengeance came into me and stayed like an unwanted ghost. after years of mindful media consumption the hate has been replaced by inspiring new solutions and ideas. i've found there's just not enough room in my life for violence, hate and venom. i like the sweet drinks, the ones that make me dance and play, the games and fun interactive surprises that make me feel connected to something bigger than a movie...in a theatre....

i hope this space can be a place for great ideas to grow. i know that we have all of the people in our circle needed to produce extraordinary new works that inspire, entertain, educate and fill us with substantial joy.
