Hey everyone,
Comfy has been a wee bit quiet, so I figured I'd ask:
Any of you dressing up for All Hallow's eve?
What as?
My friends and I are going as the 7 deadly sins... though I should probably get together with em all and make sure everyones still in on it. =P

Tue, October 20, 2009 - 8:53 PMBy "camping out" I mean staying in the church overnight, not camping outside, we have already had snow in MA and I am not that hardcore ;-) -

Re: Halloween!
Sat, October 31, 2009 - 12:17 PMI'm not going out, but for the first time in many years I bought some candy and will put on my black wizard robe and the wizard hat with all the stuff on it for greeting any trick or treaters. I'm on the second floor of my apartment building. I'm not expecting a lot of kids to show up.
Getting candy this year was influenced by a report that some idiot on the Christian Broadcasting Network posted in a blog that the entire nation's candy supply has been "prayed over" by witches. Really. You can't make this stuff up!
I don't think things will be too spooky around my door inside, but I will have some candles burning on the bookcase.

Re: Halloween!
Tue, November 3, 2009 - 7:01 AMRoot soup is sooooo easy.... You take sweet potatos, regular potatos, a couple of yams, carrots, onions and some sort of broth. Either veggie or chicken broth depending on whether or not your vegan! After the potatoes have softened you either put them in a blender or use an immersion blender to get everything mashed up and blended together. Then you serve it with a dollop of whip cream or yogurt or even sr cream! Its so yummy..... :-) -

Sun, November 8, 2009 - 10:06 AMUnfortunately wasn't able to go through with our original family halloween plans due to my daughter getting H1N1 the day before and not being able to go out. But we did get some candy and hand out to the few kids who came to the door. Halloween was quiet this year.
