This weekend, Skybox will be hosting a ONE NIGHT ONLY <br/> <br/>CLOUD SWING &amp; CREATIVITY WORKSHOP + PERFORMANCE + LIVE MUSIC @ The House of Yes <br/>(342 Maujer St) (L to Grand st) <br/>Workshop 8:00 - 10:00 Performance, Live Music, &amp; Dancing - 11 - on <br/> <br/>Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned swinger, this is a chance to explore, create, and play on one of the most comfortable and enjoyable pieces of circus equipment ever invented. <div>SAT 4:00 - 6:00 = CIRCUSTENTIALISM @ Skybox <br/> <br/>This six-week series is a chance for aerialists to develop their creativity &amp; choreography, exploring sequencing, transitions, composition, and stage craft in the creation of a piece. Each class teaches a sequence of movements on a different piece of equipment (Silks, Trapeze, Lyra, Corde Lisse, or Cloud Swing) and then goes on to apply these movements in the context of an exercise. Exercises include both duo and solo work, choreography, improvisation, musicality, and stage presence, and emphasize the experience of transforming tricks into dance, and acrobatics into art. Students will finish the course with a composed piece of choreography, as well as expanded knowledge of technique and a deepened connection to their own creative voice and expression. <br/> <br/>Each class stands on its own, and it is not necessary to attend all 6 classes to get the benefit of this course.
