Ok, ok, I know what you are thinking but hear me out.
It is has been a desire of mine to have a themed Party at Pennsic. Because 1. I am a mental case, and 2. To retain my membership in the BH, we are required to be Sh*T stirrers from time to time. (only in a good, fun for us kind of way)
The proposal, Similar to the Crack Whore Party that it is small and invite only.
The Party is...
The Burning Hand Celebration of Fire
All it is, is we pick a night, invite some other camps, and burn a lot of shit.
Entry to the party is A. An invite, B. Something cool and weird to burn.
sorry, just could not hold the idea in any longer.
What do you think?

Mon, September 17, 2007 - 8:54 AMI am obsessed with the fire fans. I'm going to get some so I can play with fire, too. Can I play with you??? Please??? Love them. Thanks for letting Jez and I try them out.
Zing's right, knuckle hair is overrated. And, I have none left on my right hand ANYWAY after Siggurd thought it would be a good idea to flick the lighter right as I was reaching for my beer in front of it at Fey's after-wedding party. -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, September 17, 2007 - 9:52 AMOh, like you had any knuckle hair to burn off in the first place, you hairless freak!!

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, September 17, 2007 - 2:43 PMThat would be A-W-E-S-O-M-E. Flaming Wicked Gypsies of Burning Goat Island Camp. I'm in. I just need to order my fans. I'll do that in October or November. Winter would be a good time to practice with them. They'll keep us warm and, in case of accidents, we can just roll around in the snow. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, September 17, 2007 - 10:29 PMI spun my poi once in the snow... it was cool to see the poi tracks!! -

Tue, September 18, 2007 - 1:54 PMWhen you come out of the shower/bath dirtier than when you went in is the best shower/bath there is. Of course it helps to have a co conspirator. Then law dictates you start the process all over again. -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, September 18, 2007 - 5:14 PMHooray for shower buddies.
Anyways thinking about us having a pyro party. There is already one that happens second Thursday of war week. It is down the road towards the lost boys. I do worry about the unevenness of the ground in our camp, and drunks, and fire. I think a few extra fire extinguishers in camp might be good as well. Also yummy dancers do not like dancing around firepits that resemble the 6th level of hell in heat.
A does it burn party could be interesting. The dangers involved in that would be keeping explosives from being tossed in. Weather purposeful ones or accidental ones. We could make some thermite up for the really hard cases. Not that thermite is the safest stuff, but it is rather inert by itself. We would need some magnesium strips to light it. Or even a sparkler would do. Not as safe as a strip, but works anyways. People wanting things burned would have to check them in for inspection at the door. Also they would not be allowed to toss them in at random. since we would be the sober ones, we will be doing the burnination of things. We might need some smaller tongs. Well a smaller gripping surface, on 4 feet or so. So things needed. Lots of wood. I would need to bring some oxy-acetelyne tanks with my torches, and thermite. Also some sort of thing to set thermite in like small clay flower pots. Some semi flame proof grabbers besides the fire tongs.
Big ass leather gloves. Booze. Well for booze we could get a keg, and I could make up 10 gallons or so of doom. At a slightly lower strength. -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, September 18, 2007 - 8:49 PMI'm looking forward to my shower with my buddy!!
AS for Dancing with fire... I will NOT be drinking (or smoking my whaky tobaky either) and playing with fire. And level ground is always appreciated but we can work around what'cha got... your camp isn't that bad on level ground. But if we did play with fire, we would need people to stand back and maybe some of you awesome BH men could keep them back for us while we play for your entertainment. ;^) -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, September 18, 2007 - 9:11 PMyou lovelies could learn how to breathe fire... that's how i get people to back up.
it is very effective. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, September 18, 2007 - 10:28 PMyeah, I'm sure that would be very effective but it's probably not very kiss-worthy afterwards. I'll stay with the fans and have beautiful men stand around us. That's much more fun anyways. -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 7:46 AMIt's called a bump, yo!
Yeah, I am still thinking of doing this. Like was stated before, it would be limited invite only crowd, and people should bring something to burn.
Ystll - If you are up for it, you could be the fire marshal, making sure that nobody sticks something in the fire that would kill everybody.
We need to pick a day as well. I am thinking since MWOP is dead, we could do it on that day. I think it was the second wednesday.
Besides, we need to do something to showcase the new B4B!
Thoughts? Opinions? Grips? -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 7:49 AMPS - There will be "Dex Voodoo dolls" on sale for fire food. Get'em before they're hot!! LOL -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 12:09 PMwell they are supposed to look like you, dex. How hot could they get?
Snap. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 1:56 PMBitch please! All I have to do is wrap some white cloth in some plaid material, draw eyes in opposite directions and add hair.
Viola!
And PS, they wouldn't be hot till they were in the fire!
Roll!!! -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 2:19 PMFYI, the Middle Eastern Dance show is on the 2nd Wednesday night from 6-8PM this year. I don't know why they changed it but party prepping on that night would conflict with yelling BIG HEADS at dancing girls.
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 3:15 PM"roll" is still the least catchy catch-phrase EVER. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 4:02 PMUnless you prep early enough to leave camp by 5:45. I'm assumning you wouldn't start the party until dark thirty since it's a fire party. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Mon, June 2, 2008 - 8:02 PMThey put the dance show in my eat and shower time. How annoying is that. Food not important, but that shower is.
HMMMMMmmmm support my smoking hot clanmates or do something else.........
Duh I'll be there yelling smoking hot etc. etc. ladies. -

Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, June 3, 2008 - 12:09 AMHow about it be on the Second Thursday? What is going on that day?
Russell - If I am the only one that uses it, then it's like a signature. Ya know? Plus, it goes with my whole "Non-conformist" Lifestyle anyway. Meh he he. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, June 3, 2008 - 6:16 AMFirst: Why is Jim/Dark Monk not on tribe anymore ?
Second: Yeah -- how's about Second Thursday ??? OR even Second Tuesday ?
Eh, and who knows - the Expo has also been shortened by an hour this year - so us Wicked Gypsy Crack Whores might not even get chosen to perform. Yes, yes, we all know it would be their big time loss - but that would also mean no one would be interfering with my favorite time of day....and that would be: Wine O'Clock. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, June 3, 2008 - 6:56 AMJim deleted himself off of everything....facebook, myspace, fubar....he was still keeping up with Tribe but I did notice the other day that he deleted that acct too...I don't know why....I haven't really been able to talk to him much lately cuz of being so busy... -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, June 3, 2008 - 12:33 PMKayia - that's not sounding good. Wonder what's up with him....
HEY- do any of you BH Boys hang out with Jim on a regular basis ? What's going on ???? -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, June 3, 2008 - 4:34 PMSecond Tuesday (I think) is Creeping Death and Shadow Clans. Thursday night is the Wulf's Den 2nd week party. Wednesday was Men Without Pants, but, ostensibly, it's been cancelled. I think Wednesday was also either Settmour Swamp or the Pajama Party. I can't remember. Too many parties, too little time.
Regardless of what night you plan it, there will be another party on that night, too. Unless you do it the last Friday. Bar Wars is supposedly not happening this year and is really the only worthwhile party that night.
I am not down with this night thing. It's supposed to be Expo, shower, nap, eat, party. -
-
Re: Possible Burning Hand party at war
Tue, June 3, 2008 - 6:37 PMJim is ok and pre-regged will be at war first monday through the end. I am not sure what is up with him but we all need a vacation -
