You saw what it was for free, never were one to pay

The old man always chased us but never you
One day we waited until you had gone, sneaked back

Never chased you,
None of ever told about what is was we knew
One by one the rest just up and went

Thinking about reasons made me sad
The others had said perhaps the old man really was mad
Their talk was ? it isn?t right, that?s the truth?
Just jealous, when what they alway wanted,
The lot of them
After the laughs, put downs, sly jokes
All the innuendo
Was to be, maybe, a little like you
