I think it's gorgeous and you'd look gorgeous in it! So don't give me any of this cow nonsense. Stayce is our resident sari expert, and I'm sure she'd be thrilled to help dress ya. (I know a basic wrap but she is better at it than me.) You will need a petticoat - basically a flared, plain skirt with a drawstring waist - because tucking the sari folds into the petticoat is how it stays on. :-)

Well , I can get the petticoat pre-sewed onto it for $20. I just am not sure about how to do the measurements? And blouse "sewn or unsewn"? Stayce..... you out there? Please give me a call or drop an email? Want to order soon !

i am here...
i wouldn't get the petticoat pre-sewed onto it- you just want the plain skirt so you can tuck the sari into it easily, and the plain sari, so you can wrap it any way you like. it's actually not even necessary to use a petticoat, but zimra is right that it makes it a lot easier, and a little less bumpy. so yes, buy a petticoat, but as a separate piece.

however, YES to getting your blouse sewn... they are horrendous to make on your own, and fitting them is an awful task. even people who love to sew complicated things often leave them to the indian ladies who sew them for a living and know the tricks. send them your measurements and let them do their magic!

i/we can help you wrap it at pennsic. they are easy to wear and incredibly comfortable. there are a couple of easy wraps to do, some a little more old-fashioned, and some more practical than others, but all flattering and beautiful.

btw, i couldn't actually see the page with the sari on it: the link wasn't working. so i don't know what questions they were asking you about measurements, etc

Thank you Stacey!!
Here is the company main page and the measurements pages. I am not sure about length of "blouse" or how long I should have the sleeves? It seems to me they have good prices, but then I have never bought this type of garment before!
