Monday, March 17th (for anyone who wants to avoid the drunken debauchery that is
St. Paddy's Day) sees the return of the Japanese Synth-Goth band, the ROYAL DEAD
and special guests nO thiNg (industrial middleeastern dance music) at
the BOX, at the Blue Lagoon on Pacific Avenue in Santa Cruz.
The ROYAL DEAD are in the middle of their western states tour and have a new album out.
The last time they came saw the largest turnout in two years at the BOX.
They have a mixture of J-pop, synth goth, classical music and are very theatrical..........a lot of fun!!!!
Rick Walker's industrial middleeastern project, nO thiNg opens in a duet collaboration with
John Connel (guitar and keyboards). Rick will play distorto bass, keyboards, drums, industrial
metal percussion, strumstick, trumpet and traditional middleastern percussion.
They will be playing minimalistic, heavy beat driven tradiditional middleastern music.
nO thiN g starts at 10 o'clock and the ROYAL dead play at 11 p.m.
